The EGEE Project
Ensemble Grandissons avec Espoir en Europe

European Jean Monnet Teacher Training project, EGEE trains teachers in European values and children’s rights through a pedagogical toolkit and an online training course.

Project Presentation

The EGEE project – Ensemble Grandissons avec Espoir en Europe – aims to train teachers in European values in order to combat discrimination from an early age.

Funded by the Jean Monnet Teacher Training programme, the project provides a pedagogical framework designed for teachers of Cycle 3. In the French education system, this corresponds to pupils aged 9 to 11.

The project aims to facilitate the transmission of European values and children’s rights in schools.

A Comprehensive Pedagogical Toolkit

The EGEE project provides teachers with a comprehensive pedagogical toolkit designed to help pupils explore the values of the European Union through a variety of educational approaches.

The toolkit is based on:

  • the analysis of literary heritage texts;
  • the study of visual artworks;
  • drama-based activities;
  • educational games.

These activities enable pupils to develop their critical thinking skills and gain a deeper understanding of the principles and values that underpin the European project.

Resources and training

The EGEE project also offers an online training course (MOOC) for teachers. This course enables participants to discover the pedagogical framework, explore and experiment with the proposed activities, and join a community of educators committed to promoting European values.

The website provides access to the project's various resources, information about the training programme, and examples of actions and activities carried out as part of the project.
